The Crosstown Eating House
23 Logan Road Wooloongabba
Ph: 3162 3839
Located in a quaint spot near the Gabba with its character buildings, brothers Matt and Ben Christensen with partner Matthew Howland have opened up The Cross Town Eating House.Tucked away in a fantastic old building which they have spent the last four months lovingly restoring to a funky Cafe/Restaurant,the interior is quirky and fitted out with old light fittings and furniture they have made themselves.
Haidee Peterson, Mark Turville are in the kitchen pumping out great simple food to an already appreciative following.
The day I dined we sat in the entry hall where there are two small tables ……………We perched on stools and looked out onto the passing parade fossicking in the furniture and bric a brac shops nearby.
The menu is simple but interesting, we ordered:
Prawns and white anchovy mayo $15.00
Beetroot, manchego and speck salad $14.00
Meatballs and sauce $14.00
With a couple of glasses of NZ Tewharera Pinot Gris – Yummo!!!!
